Mirrors Darkly Author Notes - Chapters 7-9

In Chapters 7 and 9 we get more backstory on Jibril (the novel's main antagonist) and his relationship with his half-brother, Osama bin Laden.  Suffice to say, Jibril is not a huge fan of American fast food, malls, teenagers, or American culture in general. Classical music is a guilty pleasure of his though.

In Chapter 8 we meet another antagonist, FBI Special Agent Carl Barrett.  Barrett's character is one that's more developed in this story and we'll find out later what has made him such a difficult human being.
