In Chapters 10-12 we get more insight into the FBI's investigation into Darrin Allis.  The picture here is of the Federal Building in Westwood where the FBI's internal discussions take place.  We find out that Darrin's break up with his ex-wife, Becky, was messy and ongoing.  We hear from Darrin's dad and from Darrin's high school buddy, Paul, on their thoughts about Becky and the FBI field agents' activities.  We also hear some secondhand comments from Becky's dad, Chuck Cooper, who is another antagonist in the story.  We also get a flashback to the details of Johnny Duran's death at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
